Yesterday we went with the grandchildren to The Henry Ford Estate, Fairlane. It had an indoor pool and bowling alley. Among other things. Today, we woke up to spring snow on all the flowers.
I always forget what those blue flowers are called--I will have to look them up again. They are common here, but no so much in upstate NY. I love the stonework, too--but they house is truly huge with a swimming pool inside, (at one time), a ballroom, a bowling alley, three guest bedrooms in addition to the family bedrooms, and so on. HUGE! But interesting.
I think all the flowers that got snowed on survived.

Now that's impressive. I've never seen photos of the Ford Estate before, so thank you!
It was our first time there. Very interesting. I took a zillion pictures.
That's a magnificent-looking house! A little too big for my taste, but I love the stone!
Great post! I've been to the Ford Museum and Rogue Factory tour, but haven't been to fairlane. Perhaps the next time I get up there...
Nice house. Too bad about the snow.
What are the blue flowers in front of the Ford house?
Très belles photos. I prefer the flowers. It seems to be very cold in the area!
