Balduck Park

It's nearly the peak of fall color, but starting to go by in some spots, as the leaves have been falling like mad. I walk by here nearly every day. It is right in Detroit. The park has baseball diamonds, a man-made sledding hill, a picnic area and the woods. Guess where I like to go.

The sign for the Aspen Trail is on the fence and there is no trail entrance nearby and no aspens, but there is a woodland trail. And lots of color right now!

I like the idea of the color of the photos gradually changing from almost all yellow to almost all reddish. Wonderful images, I have still to 'taste' this season at home...

Wonderful series, Mary. Hard to believe this is right in Detroit! So very colorful...and funny - no aspens ...

What, by the way is a bald duck? Oh, wait, it's Balduck. Sorry about that!

Heh. Heh.

Thanks so much Vogon Poet, Asta and Jacob!

This is actually a very small park (well, fairly small.) I you stand on any one side of the woods in winter, you can see the houses on the other side easily through the trees.

VP,you'd better get on home!
