More contrasts (dismal, hope clings)
I took this picture this week, at Lakeshore (Lake St Clair.) Pretty dismal!
BUT there are still flowers in bloom outside--not just chrysanthemums, but clematis, roses, pansies, etc.
This is a detail from an art piece I did yesterday (by Detroit Artist Mary Taitt, LOL!), with markers, in Ander's Moleskine Sketchbook. If you would like to see the whole piece and learn more about it, click here.

Three different works, and I surely like the photos. My first impression on your collaborative piece of art is that it is creative and funny.
Thanks, VP! I do so appreciate your very kind remarks.
I was attempting to show contrasts in the season--leafless trees, but we still have flowers!!! It's been a relatively warm autumn so far, though we did have a few freezes, not enough to kill back everything yet.
I'm amazed that clematis are still blooming at Lake St. Clair!
I'm off to find out nore about your piece. :)
Not a perfect specimen, but we still have a number flowers IN THE CITY. It's warmer int he city. The outlying areas are pretty barren.
Thanks! :-D

Thanks so much, Unseeen!!! :-D
Thanks so much, Asta! :-D YAY!
A trio of photos with very distinct auras.
Yes, that first one gives a cold, wet, dismal feeling...
Which then give way to joy looking at this beautifully photographed orchid...
And that morphs into a kind of childish delight with this artistic swatch of lines and colors!
Great post, Mary!
Thanks, Jacob! It's a season of contrasts and transition!!!
