Inside the DIA

A shot inside the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts). Vogon Poet tells me: The statue is 'Zephyr Dancing with Flora' by Gianmaria Benzoni and the painting is the 'Betrothal of Cupid and Psyche' by Pelagio Palagi. Thank you! (I'm embarrassed to have forgotten!)

Do you know the name of the statue and the painting? Very beautiful pieces of art. In France you are not allowed to take photos in museums. That's so frustrating.

Thank you Marie and Asta. I should have recorded the names, but I did not! I'm sorry.

We are allowed to photograph some sections, but not others.

How lovely the way your eye captured the marriage of painting to sculpture. I enjoyed your photos. Reminding me how many beautiful things we have to appreciate in the Detroit area.
