Looking down at the tops of the trees, LOL

Sometimes when the sidewalks are icy and the roads bad, we walk at the mall. I always liked looking down at the tops of the trees when I went mountain climbing, but this will have to do for now.

I've been working on a fellowship application which is taking all my time, but I needed a break and painted this somewhat silly picture last night:

It's called "Veloce" or "The Girl with the Scarves."

Good for you for getting out to walk even if you have to exercise inside. The mall staff keeps the leaves clean and shiny so the plant ought to remain healthy.

Veloce looks like she's surrounded by spring - I associate blue and yellow with spring. :)

Thanks, Stine. I prefer walking outside, but I hate icy sidewalks.

Maybe today we will ski.

Sometimes the malls offer some nice photo opportunities; like this one. But it takes a good photographer like yourself to make good on those opportunities!

And I really like your painting! Scarves is a perfect title. Love the glasses, too!

I've come to thank you for offering me your kind support on a day I so needed it. Also the painting is fun even if the light in her blue eyes reads as melancholy to me but it could be my mood projected.
Have a lovely week my dear and again my thanks,
Simone

I like the plant picture, it is so shiny I thought it was a fake one.
I am curious about the 'Veloce' name: it is 'fast' in Italian...

You just dashed the painting off? It really is quite stunning.

Simone, I'm reading her as being slightly annoyed.

(She's annoyed at the photographers pointing their cameras in her face while's trying to make time int he race.)

Oh, VP, I forgot, I think to say yes, that is where the name of the picture came--Veloce, for speed--she's a fast rider!!!!
