They are allowed to pitch 'tents'? We can't even sleep in cars...

Did you e-mail this to Bush? I think he should know that Americans are having to do this. After all, he keeps saying how great we are doing and I know he would want to fix this if he knew. I know he wouldn't want one single American to go homeless.

I do visit and I do comment and I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words on Sunday.

What a national shame. With the trillions congress spends on Iraq we could have universal health care, college educations for all, and housing for everyone.

My Rheumatoid Arthritis hurts so I am using the same message for all.

there are HUNDREDS of homeless people in Detroit. not just a a few. They are everywhere. They live in old abandoned buildings and under bridges and in the parks and on the streets. They can't stop them from pitching tents, where would they go? Most of them are 'hidden," as this one was. (I've posted a few others. also hidden.) Regular people aren't allowed to pitch tents though. That is, people with houses. The homeless are regular people too, some of them anyway, who have come on hard times sometimes through no fault of their own. The housing prices are astronomical. The incomes of the poor are very low, and more and more people in Detroit are losing their jobs as the auto industry fails. Some of the homeless are frail and elderly and sick, so sleeping in tents with no reliable food is not good for them. Some are alcoholics and drug addicts or crazy people, all of whom need help of some kind.

As far as writing BUSH, I'm assuming you are being facetious. That man is in league with the Devil. He wants only MONEY for the RICH. He believes in being a reverse Robin Hood, in stealing the poor to give to the rich.
